INVITATION TO GREECE:  THE JOURNEY OF PAUL AND THE CHOIR CONCERT
OF A LIFETIME!

May 25 - June 3, 2009
This May, a group of Americans will travel to Greece. Many of them will sing in concerts in Athens, Thessaloniki and Kavala. Others will attend the concerts and experience the land where the Apostle Paul answered the call to bring the good news of God to Europe (to us). The magnificent country of Greece with its deep and rich history, some of the world's greatest soloists, experiencing Mendelssohn's Elijah in the 200th anniversary of his birth and all of this in the year of Paul, combine to make this a journey of a lifetime.
Contact Patricia Hutchins for detailed information. (Parents, what a great opportunity for a life-shaping senior trip.)

 Men

NEW MEN'S GROUP:  Group 27:17

“As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.” - Proverbs 27:17 (NIV)

What makes a man? Is it fame, fortune, and success? Is it a new car, the biggest house on the block, or the best job? How about athletic ability, or intelligence? According to the secular world, and yes even some of your closest friends and family, these things are what make a man. Is this what God meant for man to be? Or did he intend for man to be something greater, something above all of the superficial aspects of the world?
If you have wondered these same questions and want a place to discuss some answers, and a place to talk about anything, a place to build true companionship, and a place to be held accountable, join our group.

Group 27:17 is a group of men, designed to be a completely anonymous and unbiased forum for discussion of all of life’s toughest issues that today’s man faces. There will also be Bible study and reflection. Make a decision to find out what God wants in a man beginning Monday, April 20 from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m.

In the Doghouse (UMM room).
For more information, contact:
Chad Kingsbury (252-2550); Justin Harris (574-2798); or Bob Reeves (549-0515)

UMM SMALL GROUP meets weekly on Friday mornings at 7 a.m. for devotionals and personal reflection.
All men of our church are members of UMM and are welcome to serve alongside as we work to bring men closer in their relationships with God, as well as our families and friends. Contact Jim Leist (662-319-7793) for more information or questions.
