Program Policies
Enrollment
Enrollment is open to any preschoolers
six weeks through four years.
Children are enrolled following
notification of an opening. A registration fee is paid upon
enrollment and deregistration is each spring.
After maximum enrollment is reached in
each room, a waiting list will be established.
Enrollment will be accepted on a
first-come first-serve basis, with the following having priority:
1. Siblings of church members
2. Church members
3. Siblings of children already
enrolled
4. Mother’s Day Out
5. Open enrollment
The ELC is open Monday—Friday from
6:30 a.m.—5:30 p.m.
Tuition
Tuition can be paid monthly or
bimonthly. Tuition is due on the 1st and the 15th of each month.
The weekly tuition rate varies according to the room. After your
child has attended the ELC for one year, you receive one week free
tuition.
Withdrawals
Withdrawals from the program require a
two weeks written notification.
Records
A parent must fill out a Child
Enrollment Form and supply the Director with a current
immunization record (form 121).
A medical release form and payment
policy agreement must be signed.
A permission form for field trips and
photography may be agreed to or declined.
A Child’s Personal Data Sheet must be
completed.
You will need to sign in each day.
In case of accidental injury, we will
attempt to contact a parent. If necessary, we will call an
ambulance. Parents will be expected to assume responsibility for any
resultant expense.
Food
A mid-morning and a mid-afternoon
snack are provided. Lunch for Toddler I and up are also provided.
All breakfast food brought in will be
discarded by 8:15 a.m.
Rest Time
Each day a rest period will be offered
to the children. Quiet music will be played while children rest on
their cot. If you child needs a security item during rest time,
please label it clearly and bring with your child.
Toys and
Personal Items
Please leave your child’s toys at home
or in your car.
Clothing
Dress your child in clothing suitable
for play and outdoor activities. Select clothing that is washable,
sturdy, free of complicated fastenings, and warm for cold days.
Please put labels or names in all outer garments.
Label all diaper bags, bottles, etc.
with your child’s name. Disposable diapers are requested. All
children need a change of clothing in their bag or in a labeled zip
lock bag, as well as extra pants in case of potty accidents.
Weather
Session will not be held during
inclement weather when the Public Schools are closed. Please listen
to local television and radio stations for notification.
Illness
You will be called to pick up your
child if he/she becomes ill what at ELC. Please do not ask teachers
to administer medication. Administering medication is again our
policies. Please keep your child home if he/she:
· Has
a bad fever during the previous 24 hours
· Has
an acute cold, heavy nasal discharge or constant cough
· Has
vomited or has had diarrhea during the previous 24 hours
· Has
symptoms of a communicable disease
Parents will be called to pick up
their child if any one of these symptoms develop during the day.
